Each game brings with it numerous betting opportunities and you will find that we have some of the most generous odds available so that you have the chance to win a bit more with every bet that you place.
Handball Odds Explained
If you are new to handball betting then you may be a bit surprised by how many different types of bet you can place. Each game brings with it a huge range of betting markets and each of them represents another chance for you to win. However, in order to do so it is important that you understand what the different markets are and how to make use of them.
Handball Markets
The simplest bet you can place on a handball game is the 1X2 Full Time, which is a bet on a specific team to win. It is the most popular bet and a great place to start. However, you will see that there are often more than 60 markets available for each game, which means that the bets you place can be far more specific.
A very popular form of bet is spread betting. The Spread Full Time market is also on a team, but it requires a team to win or not lose by a certain amount of points. In the market, you will see that one team is marked with a minus and the other with a plus, for example Team A -6 and Team B +6. In this instance, if you were to bet on Team A it means that for you to win they have to win by at least 6 points and if you were to bet on Team B then that team would have to lose by less than 6 points. Spread betting does not have to be on the entire game, you can also bet on halves.
There are many markets available that relate to the score. For example, the Over/Under Full Time market is for there to be more or less than the shown number of points scored. This is also available on halves. You can also bet on Total Team Goals, for example, over 33 or under 29. You can bet on the team with the highest scoring half, or just what the highest scoring half will be. You could also bet on the total team goals or the winning margin. You can even bet on which team will be the first or last to score in a game.
There is also something called Double Chance betting, and this allows you to cover two of the three possible outcomes with a single bet. For example, you could bet on either a home win or a draw, or possibly an away win or a draw.
The markets are split into a number of categories, such as Main and Halves, to help you navigate them. Be sure to explore all of the markets carefully as you will see that you can be very specific in your bets and cover a huge range of outcomes. If you come across a market that you are unsure about, simply visit our Betting Rules section where you will find a clear explanation of all the different types of market offered.
Outright Markets
Outright betting markets deal with a league or tournament as a whole. For instance, you can bet on a team to win the league or the tournament, who the top scorer will be, and more. The odds for these markets are updated regularly, and it is worth keeping an eye on them at all times.
In-Play Betting
If you want to make watching handball even more exciting then be sure to check out our live in-play betting markets. These are markets that only become available once an event has started and the odds are updated in real time to reflect the action as it happens. You will find that many of the same markets are available in-play as are on offer before a game, so you can still bet on which team will win or the score. However, in-play betting comes into its own with a category of bets known as ‘Next To’. These are bets on the next thing to happen, such as the next team or player to score. This means that by keeping a careful eye on the game and the odds, you may spot some fantastic betting opportunities. In order to help you place more bets that are successful you can also watch the Match Tracker tool, which brings you live updates from the game, such as which team has possession. You will be able to see statistics including Attack Success, Max Goals, 7 Meters Scored, Goals in Powerplay, Goals Short-Handed, Saves, 2 Minutes Penalties, Yellow Cards, Timeouts and so on.
