We do our upmost to bring you extremely generous odds, ensuring that you will be able to win a bit more for your money, even when betting on a clear favourite to win.

NBA Odds Explained

In order to make the most of all the NBA betting markets that we offer, it is important that you make sure you understand the different betting markets available and the way that odds are expressed. In very general terms, there are two types of betting markets, Outrights, which deal with long-term factors in the league, such as who will win, and Game Odds, which are the betting markets that relate to individual games and cover a huge range of different areas.

NBA Markets

For any given NBA game, you are likely to find more than 60 different betting markets that you can take advantage of. The simplest of these markets is the Moneyline Full Time, which is simply a bet on which of the two teams is going to win the match. Spread betting, bets on how many points a team will win by, is also very popular with NBA games, these markets allow you to bet on the spread at full time or in a particular half. You can also place total bets, which is simply a bet on the total number of points scored by a team in a game. All three of these bets are very simple and are a great way to get started.

However, you will find many more types of bets available. For example, on each game there are Race to bets on offer. These are bets on a team to be the first to reach a specific number of points, such as Race to 12 Points. You can also use parlay betting, which is combining two bets to give you better odds. Another very popular type of bet is Player Props. These are bets on a statistic relating to a specific player. For example, you can bet on a player to score a certain number of points or on the number of assists, rebounds, free throws and more. If you carefully explore all of the betting markets on offer then you are bound to spot a number of exciting possibilities and can turn every minute of the match into a bet winning opportunity.

Outright Markets

There are often a number of NBA outright betting markets on offer. The most popular of these is on which team will win the league. You can place the bet at any time during the season and of course, the odds will be updated to reflect how the teams are performing. You can take advantage of this if you think that a team has been underperforming and is likely to turn things around. There are also outright bets available on the winner of the Western Conference and the Eastern Conference, and these too present further opportunities to win.

In-Play Betting

While the NBA is always extremely exciting to watch, you can make it even more exciting by taking advantage of our in-play betting markets. In-play betting markets are updated throughout a game and give you the chance to react to the action in real-time and place bets that could lead to big wins. For example, you could decide that one player is looking particularly impressive and place a bet on him being the next to score or the first to reach a certain number of points. You can also place regular bets, such as the Moneyline Full Time, and this means that if you feel you backed the wrong team before a game, you will have the chance to try to compensate for this. We will also bring you live updates from the game so that you can stay on top of all the action even if you can’t watch it.

NBA History

The NBA is the most famous basketball league of them all. It consists of 30 teams, one of which is in Canada, and is generally considered the premier men’s professional basketball league in the world. The league was founded in June 1946 as the Basketball Association of America and after merging with the competing National Basketball League in 1949, it was renamed the National Basketball Association.

Today, the league’s season runs from October to April with each of the teams playing 82 games. There is then a playoff tournament that extends into June. It is now the third wealthiest professional sports league in the world after the NFL and the MLB by revenue. In recent years, the NBA has begun to attract more foreign players and it now holds exhibition matches with teams in the EuroLeague as part of the NBA Europa Live Tour.
